An original song by a Jersey City 5th Grader
The gift of music changes children's lives. Here is a song written by Jade, a 5th grade Little Kids Rock student from Jersey City whose song "Change" illustrates the transformational power of music education. By putting children in touch with their creative sides, music can motivate children to overcome the challenges in their lives.

It's time I grow up,
and stand like a light.
Not a light that is dim,
but a light that is bright.
It's time to change,
be right and rearrange.
No more shame, my heart I must tame.
I'm fighting for my chance, and I'm choosing a stance.

I remember when was young, the things we did were pretty fun.
